Murat Karakus目前為澳大利亞阿德萊德大學(xué)副教授，長期從事巖石力學(xué)與巖石工程領(lǐng)域的教學(xué)與科研工作。教授的課程涉及到的主題有采礦工程、巖石力學(xué)和數(shù)值模擬。研究興趣非常廣泛，包括計算與實驗巖石力學(xué)、基于損傷力學(xué)的本構(gòu)理論、巖爆災(zāi)害機理等。Murat副教授是國際巖石力學(xué)與采礦科學(xué)雜志的副主編，發(fā)表了超過100篇高水平論文，并多次獲得澳大利亞研究理事會（ARC）資助，開展跨學(xué)科合作項目，推動巖體工程理論與實踐的發(fā)展。
